Let us listen to Him carries the Holy Scriptures read aloud in Tamil and English, the Bishop’s teaching and sermons, reflections, events and prayer requests. If something is not working, this page should help.

Common questions

A recording will not play.

The recordings stream over the internet, so a weak connection is the usual cause. Check your signal and tap “Try again”. If it keeps failing on a good connection, tell us which chapter it was and we will look at that file.

Can I listen with the screen off?

Yes. Playback continues in the background and you can pause, skip and resume from the lock screen and Control Centre.

How do I get back to what I was listening to?

The bar above the tabs shows what is playing from anywhere in the app. Tap its title to open the full player, or close it with the × when you are done.

Does the app use my mobile data?

Yes — recordings stream as you listen. On a limited data plan, listening over Wi-Fi is cheaper. Offline downloads are not available yet.

Is a book or chapter missing?

Some books are not yet recorded in every language. We add them as recordings become available. Do tell us which one you were looking for.

What happens to a prayer request I send?

It goes to the Bishop and diocesan staff, who pray for it and may reply if you left a contact detail. It is not visible to other users. See our Privacy Policy, and write to us if you want it deleted.
